I don't have that VST for track 7 but I threw a drum VST on it and it worked best I could tell.

The problem is that on track 7 the midi channel is 16. When I put my own VSTi on it and turn it to channel input 16, your midi file works fine.
Use short cut Alt 3 to "see" the midi events: they are on channel 16.

Thanks so much for helping guys, however Im unable to get anything with hitting Alt3. Nothing happens. Where can I find this in the menu or by right clicking somewhere on the track perhaps?

in fact I took things a little further and tried so more things. For example I added a new VI track, loaded NeoPiano One, armed the track, hit record, I can play the notes and hear them and see the Meter moving BUT the notes dont record. I have a feeling I did something to the Project as Track 6 also worked fine yesterday. I think I "may" have accidentally hit some combination of keys as I was finishig up yesterday which may have caused these issues

I didn't see any marked red (might be my theme) but track 6 worked, because I have that synth. However, the pitch and volume of the note, due to the synth settings is extremely low, so low I thought it wasn't working, but the meters were moving which prompted me to check closer. Does it work if you change that preset in TAL to something else?
