He is not a dev he is the email admin from his title, this is why I asked.
Also I have been up and down with Steinberg support for a timing bug that they still have not fixed in 8.5 and just keep releasing new versions.
I read some where also that the old Steinberg dev are coding reaper is this true? I can say Reaper is so CPU friendly really amazes me. I have a 4970k
and it just fly's on my machine. One instance of Kontakt in both daw's and reaper CPU is lower really amazing.

Dude newbie or not just read the his title. I guess you reading something else. It's a null point anyway but your sarcastic attitude is crap. If you would read you would understand I really don't care about Cubase anymore either. I just wanted to make sure the Dev fixed it.
Reaper is great not doubt but ppl like you make this form crap. You are not Jesus nor God have respect for me and others.

Didn't say you were wrong just that you were misinformed since his title said other wise. I guess peoples titles are different here when it says Email admin, then that means Reaper Developer. God I should stop reading and understanding.
Glad to know you are a know it all, also. Your comments remind me of the Cubase forums. Ppl say so much junk and think people will listen to them. When they have no association with Reaper. I would have weighed your comment at a higher level if you were associated with Reaper and not just a person a nobody in the form.

No need for all this strife, just cool it.
And like I said, DO google Justin. His life history to date makes interesting reading.

Yea I guess it would be a real stretch for you to assume that I might know something you don't, considering I've been using Reaper and this forum for over 6 years (you can learn that by reading).
Yes, you're right that Justin is an administrator of the forum, what with being a founder of Cockos and core developer of Reaper...not really surprising, is it? Schwa, another developer, is also an "administrator" on the forum. But that is literally all you can possibly learn by simply clicking their avatars.
Maybe dig a bit deeper next time before making rude assertions, sass-squatch. They are a small team, not a big corporation. They handle everything themselves. I bet they even clean their own toilets too.
It doesn't really surprise me at all to learn that you've encountered a lot of other sarcastic people in your travels. It does surprise me however that you're still getting so butt-hurt about it. Let's move on, shall we?
@teeramusic et al - Sorry about all this nonsense in your thread.

Yes I goggled it way before and even saw the interview with him he is really cool. I was just wondering about his co coders. The AOL sale was great for him also. I remember way back in the day using winamp and the visual effects.
My ex company I used to work at was sold to AOL also. Kinda funny..

I guess that was my bad Since I did not realize that there might be quite a few people with the name of Justin, and not the real Justin the owner of the company.
Agreed now lets move on.

Hmmm... exactly the same problem here. I do what I do every time when closing Reaper:
"Close Project" or "Close all projects", Exit and I get this crash.
Can we expect the fix? Thanks, Justin!

Interesting. All seems to focus around " InnerProcessDictionary_x64.dll "
Comments and complaints about this issue all over the net it seems.
Which was why I linked to it earlier.
Be interesting to see what the issue is and what Justins fix entails - not that \I would understand the answers, in any case...

Same problem in my case. I had both, x32 and x64.dll crash when closing project only with Waves plugins inside. Now, in 5.18 x64.dll crash doesn't happen, but x32.dll still does.

I'd say don't use the Waves plug-ins bridged, maybe?
For bridged plug-ins we're damned if we unload plug-ins (various plug-ins end up crashing in xyz.dll_unloaded), or damned if we don't (Waves interprocessdictionary as above). :/

In my case in month or two I won't be using any bridged waves plugins. Now I have that issue only with project I'm finishing with previous x32 vst's I've used. In new ones I use x64 only. Unfortunately I have few plugins witch doesn't have any x64 version, but it semas like there's no problem with them.
Thankyou for solving x64.dll problem :-)

All plugin-alliance plugins still crash Reaper. This has been an issue ever since last year.
I have no idea why or how but I can't use any of my plugin alliance plugins any more. Version 5.18 of reaper did not fix this crash.
The weird part is, it always crashes after seemingly an identical amount of time after audio playback is started.

Since an awful lot of us are using plugins from them without any issues, it might be worth looking further afield for the cause.
Have you done a portable install to eliminate the possibility that you just have something "set funny|" in Reaper?
I know you are saying it is since "last year" but possibly something that changed in your Windows install that could have made this happen?
Is it JUST the plugin alliance stuff that plants, or are there others that give problems?
Have you run Resplendence.com s latency checker for a LONG time to see if any nasties show up?
Also, a spec on your computer and interface might be helpful.

Any update on this? I use a bunch of Waves plugs... 64 bit or VST3 and no 32 bit Waves plugs at all. I do have a couple other 32 bit plugs that are not Waves. All work well with 5.15.
If version 5.18 is not the answer then I hope 5.19 fixes this issue. I get a crash or hang on exit from Reaper. Yes I have an Nvidia vid card too.
Please - if ver 5.18 solved the crash issue for you, then report it here!

Slightly off topic, but does anyone know how to get the "view problem details" section to show up on Windows 10?
Mine just looks like this. I've tried searching Google, but searching for non-specific information on Windows and crashing is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Not sure if this is the same issue, but I posted over in Nitpicks about Reaper crashing on exit since 5.16 in OS X – no loss of work. Definitely not due to Waves plugins, but it doesn't happen on a blank empty project.

I found that the latest Reaper version only works on very modern machines, I have a powerful g5 Powermac. And it didnt work at all on it, so I had to use version 4 of Reaper, maybe you could try this?
Just a thought.

Glad I turned down the offer of a free G5 Mac recently then. I did wonder....Ask a dev time I guess.
I would have assumed G5s were still viable in line with Reapers seeming ability to run on just about anything.

A little late here but I'm trying to track down the cause of a recurrent BSOD (0x124) that keeps happening in Win 7 x64 SP 1 with Reaper v. 5.201 (and happened at least as far back as 5.20) that only ever happens with Reaper running and my mini dump files all blame Reaper, however it's always been with one project arrangement that I use frequently that has the same set of plug-ins. I suspect a rogue plug-in since I have yet to have this crash happen with any other Reaper project running (it also seems to always be when i also have either Firefox or Chrome open).
I'm posting in this thread because one of the plug-ins is the Dynamic Spectrum Mapper dist. by Plugin Alliance. I'm not sure what to do next to narrow down the actual culprit for the crash but I'll post back if it turns out the signs are pointing to the Plugin Alliance one.
I know 0x124 is usually "hardware related" but I'm convinced this isn't hardware since it only happens under one very narrow set of circumstances and several times Reaper has been idling with the aforementioned setup loaded but transport stopped so not even pushing anything in the system at all.
That said I guess it could be my nVidia driver so I'll update that soon (it's pretty recent, though).
