Default LaunchPad with reaper

Hello all

I have a Novation LaunchPad, and for the past few months I've been playing around with it and trying to get some functions out of it.

My main use for it is playing sound clips in a live setting. So far what I've come up with is with using ReSamplOmatic I select the sound I want for a pad and trim it and assign it, but this seems to take away any features the LaunchPad came with. Features like paging between different sets of sound clips, muting sounds, stopping sounds, etc..

Is there a way where I can achieve all these features with reaper that I haven't found? There aren't many tutorials that I have found with reaper and pad controllers let alone the Novation LauchPad.

Thank you

those are actually Ableton features, not Launchpad features. the launchpad is just a bank of 64+16 buttons that send midi note ons/offs and cc 127s/0s, nothing more.

Is there a way to achieve any of those features using reaper? The biggest one I'm trying to figure out is stopping all sounds. I can live and make due without the others

Having a track per pad takes up too much real estate especially if there multiple "pages" unless there is a way to group tracks together to take up less space. Though the play/ recording the clip is an annoyance as well as I use reaper for hours at a time and most of the time I'm unable to get into reaper to stop it

I had hopes for it, as it seemed a lot more user friendly than ReaSamplOmtic

you'll need to write your own script/mapping system for your launchpad issuing reajs or another platform. i use plague bidule since I'm not much of a programmer. it lets me manipulate midi in all kinds of fun ways.
