Default Latency/dropouts and USBPORT.SYS

Hi.

I'm using 64bit Reaper on Windows 10 Home with a Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6. I'm getting dropouts/lag on playback and recording. I typically get about 1-2 minutes of playback before glitching occurs. Running latencyMon seems to indicate that the problem here is USBPORT.SYS (screenshot attached; represents about 3 minutes of playback).

Does anyone have any bright ideas about how to address this? I've been down the route of systematically disabling things and updating drivers but drawn a blank.

Your help appreciated!

This was a win 7 problem that was updated with a hotfix, however your particular readout of LatMon reveals a very high dpc for Usbport.sys.

Much more common on laptops... do you have a laptop?
Is the NI interface on its own usb port with its own IRQ?
Have you unplugged every usb device you can manage, especially hubs?
Have you performed the usb audio tweaks on the focusrite and Sweetwater sites?

Many laptops have multiple usb ports externally, but only have a single port available on the mobo.

Good luck

This seems to have been the issue. I've moved the NI interface to a port with its own IRQ. LatencyMon is now showing some crazily high values for some drivers...but the audio is glitch free.

Thanks, man.
