incremental backups
Unfortunately that would not be a solution because backups occur hourly, in the background while I'm working. If I work on 3 or 4 cues in an hour, that's roughly 3-5gb added to the backup most of which can be blank audio files until I start stemming out cues.
My solution has been decreasing PROX channel depth until I've stemmed out a cue and to not backup PROX files on the incremental hourly. I could also accomplish the hourly backup issue by compressing the drives themselves but it still ends up taking up huge chunks of my nvme workdrives.
I can directly pull in cues and PROX files into a session right inside of media explorer.
All in all, the best method would be to have PROX WAVpack be an option.
