Default Open in external editor

Has anyone been able to get and external editor working in Linux?

I've set my default editor to '/usr/bin/audacity' (which is valid and works from the command line) -- but Reaper gives me the error "One or more external editors could not be launched" when I attempt to open a file.

Looking at the output from Reaper in my terminal I see:
"gio: file:///usr/bin/audacity: No application is registered as handling this file"

I'm running Reaper 5.94pre1 64-bit on Antergos Linux.

I can confirm a problem with this, though since I've never used it I'm not quite sure how it's supposed to work.

Yes, confirmed it doesn't work with audacity, and that's also true for mhwaveedit.

Thanks! I've fixed this in the public WDL if you would like to test by building your own libSwell, (and it'll be fixed in the next build).

Yeah! I just updated and it's now working as expected. Thanks for the quick attention.

Verified working here too, both Audacity and Mhwaveedit.

Thanks for the quick fix!
