Default GetSetTrackState maxlen questions

When you write back a chunk with RPR_GetSetTrackState and a too small maxlength, end of the track data are loosed.

How can you be sure that the length used is greater than the amout of data we need to read/write, and be sure to loose nothing?

Is there a recommended value I should use for maxlength ?

Is there is a better way to change track vol/pan for v4 ?

I'm also trying to copy/paste envelope track, and send config/value, in python, but i don't find other way than RPR_GetSetTrackState.
( excepted SWS/S&M copy/paste send action for the send part )
I have missed something or it's like that ?

I've missed RPR_GetSetEnvelopeState for track envelope.
But i dont find the way to create unexistent track envelope to another track.
I'm just able to paste to existent envelope.

For the maxlen, 1Mb seem to be the maximum allowed, so, maxlen = 1024*1024 seem to be the optimal/maximum setting if i'm right.
