Default Does adding FFMPEG add additional video-formats on Linux/Mac as well?

On Windows, adding a FFMPEG-library allows additional video-formats, but how does it look on Linux and MacOS?
Does adding FFMPEG add additional formats there too?

Default

To my knowledge/experience: Yes
I got a few more options under Quicktime Mov
and I made it possible to render video with multitrack audio (in my case quad).
ASIK only Audition and Premiere Pro can do multitrack (5.1) audio to video.

Everybody seems to agree that the 4.1.3 version is the one to get - newer version has issue. Forgot what issues

I got the 4.1.3
check out this video - there is a link to the Github

Note for download (did help me :-))
FOR WHOSE ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH GITHUB:
To download the Zip file, you MUST click on the green button "CODE"

In the next update of reaper more possiblities for multitrack audio to video render will be added.
best
Søren
