Audio Assault goes linux
i just read this article about their free sigma amp on BPB
https://bedroomproducersblog.com/202...assault-si6ma/ and noticed that it is available for linux too. In fact it seems like all their plugins will be ported https://audio-assault.com/blogs/Linu...0Available.php |

None of them are Linux native but compiled to work in Linux (probably using Airwave or something like it)
Most of their plugins come with the .so file added to their downloads and most work without an issue. I think they had a nice sale with all plugins going for $9. Grind Machine II is very good guitar plugin |

I guess that has something to do with how they prevent the spacebar from being used as play/stop after you open the plugin window (until you click away from it, for instance on the timeline or some other window). These, and a few other plugins I've noticed do this (Audio Damage Roughrider is another).

All VSTs block the space bar
All VST plugins block the space bar when the FX window is open and I click on a VST parameter. Seriously annoying when I'm tweaking a synth or FX.
The JSFX and Lua plugins don't block it, though. I got Aural Verb for $5 back in January. It's got a nice sound... I recently used it on a track where I really wanted to bring out a roll on the toms. I'm still experimenting with the FreakQ 305, I don't quite understand all of the buttons... Guess I'll have to read the manual! |

Not all Linux VST exhibit this behavior. Here's a list that work properly for me:
-Linux Studio Plugins Project -Dragonfly reverb plugins -TLs-1295-LEA (and his other plugins) -Gvst plugins -Airwindows plugins (they have no GUI, so if it's GUI-related these wouldn't be a problem) -Skei Audio Sonic Maximizer -I have a few VSTi that also don't exhibit this behavior (DrumGizmo, Mucoder plugins). For me, the Linux VST that do exhibit this behavior are (most of these are free): -TAL plugins -Audio Assault plugins -Wave Warden's Odin synth -Audio Damage (Roughrider, the only plugin of theirs I tried) I don't use other Linux VST besides these (and the included Cockos Linux VST plugins of course, which all work fine). All my other plugins are JSfx. Last edited by JamesPeters; 06-09-2020 at 07:27 PM. |

Thanks for the correction!
@jamespeters:
Thanks! I have many VSTs that block the space bar, so I thought they all did... So I went through and tested, by vendor, most of my VSTs. Some vendors have a lot of em (Zam), so I only tested a few... Here's the list (I did not include the ones JP already listed) Blocks: Audio Assault Audio Damage Dexed DiscoDSP dRowAudio Harrison Consoles (Multiband Compressor) Helm lkjb (Luftikus & Refine) Surge Tunefish 3 Uhhyou Venomode Works: Acidose (X-Hip) Auburn Sounds DISTRHO MVerb OvertoneDSP OxeFM Renoise Redux U-He Zam Audio Zyn-Fusion (ZynAddSubFX) |

Reaper 6.08 x86_64 does not find their plugin Sigma.
Reaper 6.08 x86_64 on my computer does not find their plugin Sigma. The .so file is placed with the other VSTs under ~/.vst/
Is Solus OS maybe missing some dependencies? |
