How to reduce the size of a recorded clip
I have multiple tracks of different voices, sounds, music etc for a podcast I'm mixing.
Everything plays fine except for one track, which was recorded directly into Reaper. It's a .wav file, whereas others were imported as .m4a files.
The problem with the file is the audio drops out every 15 or so seconds. For just a second. And it happens in different places on different playbacks. So I know the source material is there, and the dropouts aren't from the recording process.
So I'm thinking the issue is with how that track was recorded, or the file size it was recorded at. and the solution is to reduce the size of the 2 clips on that track.
I've searched the nav system, and opened the clip's properties, but am not seeing any options to change file type or size.
Any suggestions for solving this would be greatly appreciated.
