Default Orgazizing Audio Files you have recorded....What do you guys do?

I am doing lots of singing in my projects and am finding that after a short time my project directory begins to get lots of audio files I have recorded in it and it can quickly get very confusing how to keep track of them all.

Can you all offer some suggestions on how to organize my files in an effort to keep them better organized so that I can manage them more easily?

I would be grateful for your suggestions.

Just create subfolder in your projectfolder,
for instance:

11_vocs_chorus
12_vocs_verse
13_vocs_backings
...

I already answered you're other post which is basically the same thing.

If I feel the need to better organize, there is an action I use to rename my source files.

Xenakios/SWS: Rename takes and source files...

So if you want, just rename a vocal item, for example: "Dan, lead Vox 1".

Let me be more clear what I'm actually talking about here what I mean is for example once I record on a track and then I start to split it or then have to glue it together and other steps like that I noticed that it creates multiple files when you do things like that I'm talking about how to organize when all that starts to happen.

Okay, I have a custom action that will glue and then give me the opportunity to name the file. Here are the simple actions that are in it.

Item: Glue items, ignoring time selection, including leading fade-in and trailing fade-out
Xenakios/SWS: Rename takes and source files...

Of course you do know, that as you edit, you don't have to glue. If you want to glue, wait until you're completely done editing, then glue.
