Default Open all selected midi items

I want to open all selected midi items, but somehow that's not working.
My preferences look like:

When selecting two items and opening the midi editor with Alt+E

I get:

That's just the midi data of the lower item. Am I missing something here?

The selection and visibility settings will still affect what you are seeing in the MIDI editor. One compact way to handle all that is to open the Track List (Track Selector) from the toolbar or from the Contents menu in MIDI editor. Then you can do e.g. the track/item selections, visibility and editability changes from there.

Also, the limited range of piano roll can keep some lower or higher events out of sight and depending on the theme, the guidelines showing where the events are in the current view might not be that visible either.

Thanks, I was playing around with these things and I haven't checked the visibility. Also the track list was new to me. Very handy, indeed
