hey Greg. I love erratic, but have never loaded more than one instance. I'll check it out this pm.
I have sucessfully been loading multiple instances of microtonic, which works nicely(but no radomisation there, sadly).

happens to me on 1.888. if i create three tracks, the third one crashes as soon as I add the erratic
If I create one track and copy that, I get a crash straight away.

Yep, I was trying to use Erratic with Reaper 2.0 beta with the new multi-out generation, for latin percussion instrument(bongos, congas, timbales) and it went fine with the first instance, then it crashed with the second one...

For now I am just using one instance at a time, recording wavs to the multiple tracks and then replacing the sounds, fiddling the parameters and recording again. Works pretty well.

hey, sorry to dig up an old thread, but I just discovered a probable cause of the issue, and it's maybe not just erratic, but all SynthEdit plugins.
There's a bug in SynthEdit, where if you have a dual core processor, multiple instances of a SynthEdit plugin will crash the host.
Is it the case that you guys with crashes have dual core processors? If so, do other SE plugins also crash on multiple instances? This may help me at least find the cause, although I still have to wait for a new version of SE to come out before I can resolve it.
I have started work on erratic 2 also, but it could be a few months away from being available
