concepts first...

you can run 32 or 64 sequencers as reaper under vista 64 or 64 bits sistems...

reaper x86 under vista 64, vsts 32 runs...

reaper x64 under vista 64, vsts 32 NOT...

reaper x86 is normal reaper under 32 bits...

you can use reaper 64, but as I said before, your 32 vsts doesn´t runs under 64 bits...

so, if you want to take all your vsts32 you need to install reaper 32, not reaper 64...

almost, under 64 bits systems you can run 32 or 64 sequencers, but not vsts without a bridge...

for your vista 64 machine you can install both of theme, 32 or 64, but if you install reaper 64 (or another sequencer) your vsts needs to be 64 also

64 sequencer needs imperative 64 vsts

Concerning not being able to run 32-bit plugins in 64-bit Reaper: "It ain't necessarily so".

Check out http://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridge/

I haven't had time to check it out myself but it looks to be viable. Beta but free for now.

When you finally get to where it says "Click here to download now", right click and "Save Link As". Otherwise, you'll be sent to a lame testing page.

EDIT: see http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewto...=asc&start=135

I checked JBridge out for a couple of hours and it looks good to go in Reaper x64. A few plugins didn't work but nothing critical. Also, any selected plugin will pop up in a stand-alone window rather than in the FX-chain window. It would be nice if this could be corrected. Not a deal-breaker. Cost will probably be under $20. Reaper x64 sure is quick and slick!

PS You'll need both the x86 and the x64 versions of MS Visual C++ 2008 Redistrabutables to run JBridge. Google to d/l (they're free).

I think you already have the answer but just in case...

Download V2.58 Windows 32 Bit. Not the 64bit beta. The 32 bit works as it should on Vista 64 with all your 32bit VSTs.
