Hey pipe.
What verison of the RME-drivers are you running. I´m still on the old 2.94.
Are the Beta stable now?
Maybe it´s time to switch.

BTW. It´s really quite an achievement, i think reaper are about to be one of the best LOW latency performers.

Im looking at getting a Presonus(Firebox probably), how did you go with that compared to the RME? 64samples OK?

keep an eye on this page
http://myspace.com/koama
waiting for the masters to come back, hell surely post them there
Onlty problem I had was some trouble with an M/S miced accoustic running a pair of 414's. It was a little noisier than I would have liked, but on the first song on the page youll hear it, the noise wasnt near enough to make it to the final

Yes :-) That's one of the first things I noticed the first time I installed Reaper (quite a few versions back, btw, and it only gets better !).
It's almost like The Elixir of Youth for my PIII 800Mhz/Asus CUSL2-C, when coupled with the latest beta RME drivers !
Speed, Efficiency, Stability !

I get 2.5 msec latency with the Firebox on my system (4200 X2, 2 gigs ram) - with the latency set any lower, I get crackles and audio artifacts, but I find that more than adequate for tracking.
