Default Fooling around

Hi,

I've started fooling around with a simple flat theme.
What do you think?

Love the hi contrast! Great for old poor-sighted folk like me.

But PLEASE dear Lord, when will someone design a theme where you can actually see the meter readings? Dark grey numbers against a black background has to be crazy.

Take the bass track for example... If the numbers could be the white or same 'luminous yellow' color as the background of the track title, I'd be able to see those babies with ease!

Never found a Reaper theme - or any other DAW for that matter - that has this. But when I do, I'M CHANGING!

So not an attack on your theme at all - I think it's brilliant - but just an observation in general

DOH! I stand corrected doppelganger

I always have problems when trying to set levels for recording. Trying to keep within the magical -12 to -18db range would be so much easier if the numbers 'out of range' (more towards 0db) were clearer and in sharper contrast.

Very cool theme. I think meter colors that green-yellow-orange and red ( for clipping ) would be nice.

Depending on what you do also making the shadow less visible can help. But you can edit it. Search the rtconfig for"meter.scale.color.unlit.top" to change that.

Described in the "WALTER SDK"
Quote:
  • tcp.meter.scale.color.unlit.top:
First four coordinates: meter scale, unlit/top, foreground
Second four coordinates: shadow color
Off topic but...,

Thanx, looking for something simple...I think the buss is having a hard time figuring out which way to go!

Thanx...I'll give that a try.
The backgrounds of both tcp & mcp will be decided by the Selected/Unselected track control panel background settings in the Theme Development tweaker so it'll be touch & go to work for lighter shades and/or different colors.

Have you got a layout "meters under fader" ? It would be nice.

Not sure exactly what you mean mamazai...however this theme will have only 1 layout. I've done other themes with multiple layouts if you are interested. Cheers!

Standard meters location, under the faders not above the faders, sends etc. Like Reaper standard theme. But no problem. Your design so cool. Anyway what's the releasing time?

@mamazai Won't be long before I release it.

This is the same theme with the panel colors changed to an auqa.

Default Almost there

Simple theme...1 layout of each type.
It's almost done...a little more testing.
