If so, which lines?

Just put a semicolon at the beginning of line.
If the .PNG files are very dark images trying to color them will not do what you desire, you may need to use Photoshop or your favorite photo app to edit the .png files.

I would very much appreciate if the track names are all LEFT aligned instead of centered. Its pretty annoying TBH.

I believe, that may be fonts and something like this. Paulie CLR PC and Paulie Mac seem to use different font sizes (at least, on Retina displays) and the Mac version is notably nicer.

Hey,
just wanted to show some love here.
At first I tried Paulie, standard version, for some reason was not too convinced...
But then I tried Paulie CLR, and wow, this is a very nice theme!

Will be in my top 3 along with Commala ! Readability is excellent!

HeY Lampshade
This had for a Kong time now been my theme of choice in reaper.
However I do miss 3 things that would make it complete.
I did try to find it befor I decided to post.
1. Thin and wide separator layout for both track and mixer view.
2. Small version of the transporter (less bulky version)
3. Being able to center everything in the transporter.

Keep up the excellent work as I hope this To be around for a long time
as I truly love this theme an it has been one of the things that made my transition from Cubase easy..

I've been using the same (tweaked) theme for years now, but this replaces it! I works good on a small (laptop) screen too, and having the record and monitoring buttons available at all times is what I've missed all the time.

Thank you a lot!

Default An cosmetic issue

Hi, and I love the colors on Paulie_CLR. But when I put some tracks in a folder and the parent folder is as small it can be you can't click on the arrow above track number, when you make that track a little bigger so the track number gets under the arrow it works. Not that big problem but I just wanna let you know. Maybe I can fix it, but where do I start to look in the config file.

Thanks and thank you for a great theme.

Default When mac version?

Hi! When is the mac version available?

I love this theme but is it possible please to:
- center the text name of the tracks in the Track Panel
- auto color the items in the track in the same color as the track's color
- add a few track layouts, one a simple one with the FX knob visible at all times

The way the items are colored is handled by the theme (like whether the background is colored or just the waveform etc) but the color of the items is handled by preferences and project settings.

The two other things you could do yourself with in an hour or so if you did a bit of reading on walter themes. Check out Kenny Gioia's video for a good starting point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDTi9uDwhf0
He actually goes over how to specifically "remove" the fx button in a layout, so you would just have to do the reverse of that

I am using Paulie 5 mod by Witti.

How hard would it be to remove two buttons from the default TCP layout?

I'd like to get rid of the 1) record mode and 2) input track fx buttons.

Is this an easy task, maybe just a couple lines of code in the RTconfig?

I love that theme but please. Make at mixer track "side bar 2" layout - visible peak readouts and version with pan and widht knobs too of same like "side bar 3". It could really save life. For me its best option cause its small and informative. Being see as much of arrange with such as small mixer and control could be simply amazing.

options of fully track coloring with structure and graphics as it in original would be even better.

By far, the best theme out there. Though, I see a lot of unanswered requests, so, is there a chance to get any advice on how to do some minor changes to this theme to my own taste?
Thanks. And a big thanks to the author of this theme.

Default Little bug in this great theme

In the upper right the FX Monitoring button is only green but there is no text in it. I use Wittis Mod. Can you please have a look?

Thanks!

I am still coming back go this theme (or to one of Witti's mods). I wish this was available as a proper scalable (several levels) theme for HiDPI displays. What is the license? Maybe this could be a collaborative community effort via a GitHub repo or so?

Hello fladd,

unfortunately i have no possibility to create a theme in hi-dpi because i don't have a suitable monitor.
I am working on a new theme but i don't know if i will release it... as i need to see how it evolves.
I haven't done anything in reaper for years so i need to learn some new things.

In this thread are some information about the new theme:

Hi lampshade, thanks for answering. I fully understand if you don't have the resources to do that yourself. I hence suggested that porting Paulie to HiDPI could potentially be a collaborative effort by the REAPER community. Of course this would only be possible if you as the author agree to this. I would like to encourage you to think about it, and in case you agree that this is a good idea, you could officially attach a license to the theme that would explicitly allow for others to reuse and modify it while attributing your original work (e.g. one of the CC licenses: https://creativecommons.org/choose/).

Hello fladd, sorry for the late response.

anyone can do what they want with the Paulie theme as long as they do not earn money with it.
If People want to work on a mod or HiDPI version they are welcome to do so.

Btw. some progress on the new theme:
I activated some buttons... so you can see the on-states.

bye

This looks cool but i have no idea how to install it. I see it's not just a case of placing it ( or one of them) in the theme folder. Anyone care to explain to this simpleton? Thanks.

@lampshade; are you going to be adding a track layout where the fx list is on the right side (similar to FeedTheCat)?

I don't forsee any theme being better than this one during the life of reaper version 6.
I use this theme as my default theme, occasionally I look a the default ver 6 theme for entertainment.
