Default seq24 open source midi sequencer

hey just making a thread about this...because i really like this idea.

http://www.filter24.org/seq24/shots.html

I really enjoy this Seq24 for midi only stuff. It's really quick and intuitive and i actually find it's midi use tighter than any daw on windows that i've used before (save for Cakewalk 3.0). (probably because it doesn't use audio?)

I would love to see this ported to a VSTi!

Failing that i would love to see reaper have a front end to this kind of clip triggering/muting integration (it seems so many other daws have this going for them and i know i can run certain ones as a vsti in reaper or with rewire etc but that just seems like over kill for just midi)

people have tried this concept before:
http://www.sonicbytes.com/era/era.htm (for example)

but those interfaces are just wonky. there is something SO easy and immediate about Seq24's workflow.

If you love it why don't you just sync Reaper via MTC through virtual midi ports and keep doing midi in seq24.

I used to have Jammer Pro sync Sonar via MTC. Works fine.

I had Cakewalk Pro 3.0 too in the late 80's, but was is so special about it today?

If it can be used to record MIDI using an external keyboard/sound module without having the timing go wonky every time the mouse is dragged across the screen, I'm for it.

Hopi, I'll send you a private message. I'd love to get this sorted out if I can.
