gridlove, how do you create those knobs ? Because there are so many pictures in each stack I can't imagine you create them one by one.

I`m using knobman but it took me a while to work it out.

Knobman will create the stack for you and give you the number of frames depending on Frames(render) in the knobman preferences.

http://www.g200kg.com/software/KnobMan151Setup.msi

Have a look at these settings, specifically MaskEnable1.
This should give you a simple pan knob that is 64x64.

Once you have finished save the knob as either of these:

mcp_pan_knob_stack.png
mcp_wid_knob_stack.png
mcp_vol_knob_stack.png

Just replace mcp with tcp to use in tcp

If you want vertical sliders then you need the pink lines.
For rotaries you dont need any pink stuff.

To get a volume knob that centres at 0db correctly, then you have to use an animcurve in knobman.

this is the setting I used, which could probably do with being more refined to give a more accurate fader action.

From there you select the anim curve number in the mask enable section.

My first try at a volume slider was done manually on over 100 images in a stack, then I discovered anim curves in knobman

Best thing is to just have a play

Hey Gridlove, very cool update, this is becoming better and better again
Some feedback:

- Very nice idea with the fx buttons and colours!! Awesome simple.
However, I would suggest that when hovering these, they should not become white, as it is important to see the status (same for every button that changes color, to me, this enlightning is not necessary)

- I prefer the previous phase symbol, as it was more obvious. the new one make me thing of a resize tool.

- Led Pan MCP layout : The center circle should not be half coloured, but always coloured

- What do you think about having the TCP meters on the right of TCP, instead of left? Because this is an important element, and it is alone in another are.

- record input beeing a default, it chould not be enlighted I think.

- I'm sure you haven't forgotten, but I remind about the color of the width which should be uncoloured at 100%.

- The Volume Fader MCP layout is bugged and dos not work, but I guess you already know it.

- We don't see track separation in TCP when tracks are at the smallest height.

I can't get this to look right. TCP looks OK, but the mixer is missing elements and the master track and transport won't show the correct images. I've tried reinstalling and extracting the themeZip manually.

Yep, me too... missing elements. It's a pity because it's such a good theme

Hi guys, well sorry if it looked like I abandoned this theme, family takes first place every time.

I will be picking this up and carrying on where I left off soon, I have recently moved to a single monitor so my needs have changed somewhat.

Many things I would like to address (making the theme work correctly for a start).
I may need to go right back to the drawing board and re-think everything, start from scratch basically but keeping the soul of the theme intact.

Anyway thanks to everyone who showed interest and to those few people, again, I apologise for not responding to this thread.

The next time I post the theme it will be in a decent state so it could be a while

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Is there any tutorial how YOU are creating themes? Which kind of tools, software are necessary for this? Also what kind of pre-planning is necessary?

Also does Reaper support .svg for themes, then we could zoom in or out as much as we like without losing any quality.

I`m just using photoshop and knobman, not really following any tutorials as such.
