Default custom button drop downs?

Is there a way to make drop downs with custom buttons (or something similar)? IE I have a button that is for adding EQ to the selected item; default is just adding the eq plug w NO curve - but would like to have preset EQ curves in a drop down) IE High pass, Low pass, etc. (Would like to do this for all my fx buttons.)

only way I can think of without custom scripting is to open another toolbar at the mouse position when you click the button.
SWS Contextual toolbars should handle it.

The different options would be saved fx chains set up with shortcuts (right-click in the fx browser if you didn't know already)

Thanks.
This is definitely the way to go. It will move me away from docked buttons - but I actually think that is better UI design anyway.

This perhaps? (I mean a modified version of it, edit: but yeah, it'd involve custom scripting)
