menue bug in osx
I tried to make a screenshot but it did not work...
Insert FX Rewire
FX Winows opens - let us say in the middle of your screen.
When you double klick on an entry in the window to open the context menue (midi send to rewire) then the context window opens but not there where you double klicked, but in lower left corner of the screen.
Single click with pressed control key works like it should. Only double click messes with the menue.

ReWire getting out of sync
When looping, Reaper seems to get out of sync with it's ReWire slave.
Using Reason, the project below (where the simple midi sequence is sent to a ReWire channel), on subsequent looping the Midi(/Audio?) sync gets lost.
This mp3 file (File, Save live output to disk (bounce)) reveals that on second and fourth time playing the loop, the bass line is out of sync.

BTW you hear Reaper glitching and dropping? not good, I have this a lot

This is with the x64 version. Have not tested with the x86 version.

Bug in midi split?
When I insert a midi (drum) loop into e.g. track 1 and select "Item processing" then "explode midi item by note row pitch" it works fine, but, when I try and do the same for the next loop the "exploded" midi samples for loop 1 disappears while showing loop 2's "exploded" midi samples.

They probably don't disappear, the action by default creates new tracks for the exploded items, the exploded items from the first action probably got pushed down by the second action. Scroll down and you should see them.

I had a crash like that on win xp but only when i was using another channels volume envelope (via parameter modulation) to see if i could push it to do basic fm synthesis. think it might be the algo that is a little flaky.

Reaper x64 crashes Reaper x86 via ReWire
Reaper x64 can not start Reaper x86 (both 3.141pre2 on W7 x64 RTM).
On subsequent tries:
Reaper x86 starting Reaper as ReWire slave does not expose this problem.

Aplly FX to items as a new take does not work as expected on rewire tracks
If I 'Apply FX to items as a new take' on a track that sends it's midi to a track with the ReWire 'effect' on it, no audio get rendered for the new take.
Is this to be expected (as in logical) behavior, or is this an issue to be fixed?

Thanks schwa, you're right. Is there anyway I can stop it from creating new tracks and just drop them onto relative note tracks?

ReWire slave gets out of sync, after inserting a ReaComp effect, which introduces 880 PDC.
I did the same for a VSTi (Alien303); same midi, also inserted ReaComp; stays nicely in sync!
Also 3.141pre4 x86 (and x64) have this out-of-sync problem.

Can you test and compare with the x86 version please?
I just did some looping ReWire tests, on x64, using a loop of odd sample size, Reason demo, with it sending a note to reason and comparing the output timing with a static .wav file in the project.. after many loops it was always sample accurate...
Tested with PDC, too.. all good.

OK; let's go once again.
My situation: I'm editing some shortcuts. Opened Actions to edit it. Then I want to customize a menu, and I don't use the Menu Editor button on Actions window, but I press a keyboard shortcut that I have for it (F10). When I close the menu editor, it closes Actions window too! This is not wanted!
Suggestion: THE ONLY time when Actions window should be closed when menu editor is closed SHOULD BE when the Actions window was called FROM the menu editor!
In any other case (like the above one), it should NOT close the Actions window! Even if menu editor was called from Actions editor.
Can we agree on this logic?

MIDI editor middle button scroll doesn't allow to go down to C-1 note. And if it is scrolled all the way down with scroll bar then middle button scroll doesn't work at all.
Also, with horizontal zoom center = mouse cusor, if you zoom into empty grey area on the right, middle button scroll doesn't work too.

But in my case, I was changing shortcuts, and pressed a keyboard shortcut to open menu editor SEPARATELY, NOT from the Actions window. And when I closed the menu editor, Actions window closed too, but this was not what I called for. I just wanted to close menu editor, but REMAIN WORKING WITH SHORTCUTS.
There's my logic.

Also, when editing toolbars and choosing a custom icon, scrollwheeling doesn't actually scroll the icon selection window, if the scrollbar is present! It should scroll!

aha, now it sounds very logical to mee too,
i wouldn't except the action windows to be closed, if it wasn't opened from the menu editor.
i just tried it, i opened actions window from the main menu
then opened menu editor from the main menu,
closed menu editor, the actions closed too, weird.

mm, doesn't have to, it also apears in the add FX window, and doesn't scroll,
this doesn't seem weird to me.

I tested again with 3.141rc1
x86: Works like a charm!
x64: Completely broken! At first try that was. After starting with resetting settings to factory default, it seems to work again!
Sorry if this was just a storm in a glass of water ... all seems fine now.

I dont want to get fades on split, so I disabled the option in settings.
However, after a split I get this:

SiKo, that setting makes the split items overlap and crossfade. With the setting off, split items will not overlap, but they will still obey whatever the default item fade setting is (on that same preference page).
