Default Bluetooth Speaker - Not working with Reaper

Hello.

Newbie here. I tried to find a similar post but did not, so my apologies if this is a duplicate.

My bluetooth speaker does not work with Reaper. It works with all other software and web audio.

I'm using Reaper v6.23. So...any ideas?

Default Odd

Reaper is normally a very well behaved little gem - I've used several BT devices with no problem.

Are you using PC or Mac?

Wondering if you've tried the different Audio Systems?
Wave Out / Direct Sound etc

Pop more info and I'm sure it ill pip someone's brain.

Problem solved. Sort of.

I connected the speaker directly into the Windows PC via USB. I can get sound now.

I may play around with the bluetooth in the future, but right now I'm getting sound.

I use a Sony WH-1000XM4 which is one of the better quality BT headphones but I do not get it to work properly on reaper. Using a MacBook Pro with Big Sur

I can only select an audio option for 1 chanel (mono!) 16bit and 16kHz sampling frequency causing the whole sound to be very crappy. When I try to select the 2 channel 32 bit 48 kHz option it jumps back to mono immediately. I saw one other post with the same problem using an Audio Technica BT headphone. So this seems to be a Reaper problem.

Both headphones work fine with any other software. I.e. I get perfect sound on Logic Pro X.

Any experience on this? Anybody using BT headphones with Reaper? How do you select a codec (as this is relevant for the sound quality).
