Default Reaper [v 5.95/x64] Waves Plugin Black UI

With Reaper 5.95/x64 and Waves 10.0.1.3 I get a black (non-rendered) box instead of the GUI. The plugin works if I turn the GUI off. It seems it doesn't affect every plugin though.

These are the ones I've tested so far.

DOESN'T WORK:
SSL (any of them)
L1 Limiter Stereo (some of them)

DOES WORK:
L1 (some of them)

The thing is that I seem to have duplicates as well for some reason. So for example I get a list like this when I'm adding a new plugin:

VST: L1 limiter Mono (Waves)
VST: L1 limiter Mono (Waves)
VST: L1 limiter Mono (x86) (Waves)
VST: L1 limiter Mono (x86) (Waves)
VST: L1 limiter Stereo (Waves)
VST: L1 limiter Stereo (Waves)
VST: L1 limiter Stereo (x86) (Waves)
VST: L1 limiter Stereo (x86) (Waves)

And in this list, some of the plugins do work with the GUI, while others work but doesn't show the UI.

So I thought I would search for the ones the aren't working and those that are, and see if I can spot some difference in where they're located on the drive or something like that. But I can't find any option like "show in folder" or the search path for a specific plugin. Is there a way to do this?

Or does anyone know why this is happening?

It may be something with you video card drivers.
But firstly you should try VST3 versions of the plugins, because Waves doesn't support VST2 on Reaper.

I'll try updating the video chip drivers, though it feels very very odd in my book. However, if it works I'll just go lie down for a month.

I have tried both the VST and VST3 versions.

It would be really good to be able to see where the plugins are located on a disk through Reaper though.

Sounds like our old friend the Waves Sloppy updater has hit you.
First, I assume you ARE doing any Wavesy installs via Waves Central & have the latest version?

Did this all start happening when you updated your plugs to Waves V10?

One thing you could try right away is checking to see if ALL (and I do mean all) your old Waves shell installed files/directories,e tc., HAVE been removed. This has been a common problem with many of us since Waves Central has never checked to see if it can find and remove/replace older installs done prior to the arrival of Waves Central.

I used the "Irish Mine Sweeper"*TM method of just trashing every single waves file I could find on my computers & then doing as fresh download and reinstall via Waves Central.
Never had an issue since.
