Default Solo bug (FIXED)

  • Create 4 Tracks
  • Make Track 1 (FXs) a folder for Track 2 (Reverb) and 3 (Delay)
  • Create a send from Track 3 (Delay) to 2 (Reverb)
  • Create 2 sends from Track 4 (Signal) to Track 2 (Reverb) and 3 (Delay)
  • Click Solo on Track 1 (FX Folder) and Mute the Send on Track 4 (Signal) to Track 3 (Delay)
Now you see no signal is going to Track 2 (Reverb) which I expect it should

It repro'd when I added ^that but it stopped reproing when I chose "Solo ignore routing".

There may also be some additional behavior/tweaks here:

Confirmed (5.62 x64).

Track 2 should be heard (with the send from track 4).

Hmm yes, it seem that Reaper's fx folder solo doesnt recognize that first send from track 4.
I can imagine though that to get the logic 100% right in every possible send/return/folder tracks combination is extremely hard.

I don't think so. With "Solo (ignore routing)" you don't hear the Master/parent send of track 4.

My question was "what" is solo (ignore routing) supposed to solve. Reading various threads some of this doesn't seem new.
