Default Spacebar stop record

How do i assign the spacebar to stop recording like in other DAWs? It gets a little annoying at times when i have to use my mouse to click on the record button to stop recording.

thanks for anny solutions,
Antezy

Open the Action List and assign the Spacebar as shortcut to one of the following Actions:

- Transport: Play/stop (this is the default Action which should also stop recording)
- SWS: Transport: Record/stop (part of the SWS Extensions)

all it does is move it from the transport play/stop to the SWS. Is there a way i can configre spacebar to behave the same while recording?

thanks

It should, by default. If it doesn't, you probably have enabled the preference for an alternate set of recording shortcuts (prefs > general > keyboard/multitouch). This set of shortcuts is only active while Reaper is recording. When assigning shortcuts, use the top-right drop-down to make them for the "main (alt recording)" section.

Spacebar is really easy to accidentally bump and wreck your in-progress recording, so I'd recommend using a less easy to press key like 's'.
