Default Rendering Causes Shutdown
macOS Catalina

Now when I try to render either a whole song or a time selection, it shuts down.

I cannot render files. Latest version of Reaper. Is there a work-around or something?

highly unlikely to be a reaper bug though, isn't it. If it was lots of other users would be having the same problem. Have you checked that you have nothing else going on - scripts etc. - that could be causing problems?

I don't know about Mac, but I do know that some plugins do not play nicely with faster than real-time rendering. Are you doing that?

Also, what is the output format that you render to? Is it the same for all formats, wav, mp3 etc?

Show your render dialog, probably someone will spot something.

Rendering leads to high CPU usage. Maybe your CPU-Fan is broken or full of dust, your CPU overheats and shuts down? Just guessing...

I had this happen when I overclocked my Hackintosh a tad too high.
