Automap not showing Parameters in REAPER

Hi All ... hoping someone can shed some light on a problem I'm having with Novation Automap 4.10 and REAPER 5.62.

Basically, if I open an Automap wrapped VST then Automap shows no parameters available to map.

However, if I open the same Automap wrapped VST in another VST Host (such as SONAR Home Studio or Hermann Seibs VSTHost then Automap shows parameters and my Nocturn can happily control faders and knobs of the VST!

I've tried uninstalling REAPER and re-installing again, but with no success.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

In reaper you need to set what automap is to control very similar to setting up the level controls for a control surface in reaper.

There is a short manual for automap at there website.

I am using 4.10 with Reaper 5.62 with no problems.

sickamorz - I hadn't checked that Automap HUI was configured in REAPER, which it wasn't. I've set this up now, as per instructions from Novation, and the 'mixer' button on the Nocturn now lets me control the MCP faders etc - which is great - but I am still not getting control over Automap wrapped VSTs.

If you look in the upper right corner of the automap window you will see learn and it is off to set a action in automap it needs to be set to learn on.
The setup of learning for automap is coveted in there very short manual.

Does Automap work with Reaper ? I ended up deleting it.

automap works with reaper, but its building interface does not work fully with reaper. In reaper it only works for the first 8 tracks, when you set up the next 8 tracks the first 8 will be gone.
I used automap with launch pad it worked well for that purpose (had 200+ actions assigned. The mixer I just set it up to not function.

If your desire is to have something to control your vst's you could use your kkeyboard controls to do so rather than your mixer controls. The better approach would be an control surface. The novation launch control XL works well with reaper and does not need automap to function, at the time I bought mine they were 150 US dollars. I have seen them now for less.

I think I found the solution through doing one or both of the following...

First, I set it to run in compatibility with Window 8.
Second, I noticed that Automap's directory was set to "read only." I have no idea why. I unchecked that setting and had it recursively turn off read-only for all items in the directory.
