Default Noob Quick Question for FX knobs

Hi guys,

I've been trying to find in vain: how to make FX plugins knobs reacts vertically rather than circularly.

In other words, how can you switch options to control the knobs by clicking on it then draging up and down. I don't want the circular thing around the knob. Where in the options can we find this?

Thanks in advance for help

As far as I know, each plugin author does it the way they want.

The VST plugin format has some API support for changing the knob behavior, but the plugins may and probably usually will choose to ignore that. In Reaper, the setting is in Preferences->VST->Knob mode. (The Reaper project will likely need to be closed and reopened for that to take effect for the few plugins that actually obey the setting.)

Which specific plug-ins are causing you problems?

Awesome, I'll have a look and test at this. Thanks alot I couldn't find it by looking twice the whole thing. Maybe I look like a man (which was my mother's word... women find stuff and men seem to overlook haha)

EDIT: Dang.. It in fact resisted the Reaper Setting. This is interesting then. You guys think I should email PluginAlliance for this or its Reaper related only? I know it behaves in a linear knob mode in Cubase so maybe they just didnt test it quite enough on Reaper?

It is related to bx_Console E and if I am not wrong their bx_sub synth also bahaves like that. Other plugins like TDR Nova and others are ok for linear mode. Its annoying when in circular mode cause it jumps where you click on the knob when you wanna edit so you must be very careful not to loose your setting
