Default Linux native amp sim Vsts for guitar

Hi all, as the title says, I'm looking for guitar amp sims in a linux native vst format. When using Windows I use Lepou's stuff, the ignite amps sims as well as Kuassa amplifikation lite and the Kazrog Thermionik plugins. These all work OK with Carla in Reaper, and so did the Guitarix lv2 plugins, but I'm curious to try something which runs natively as well, and although I have looked around quite a bit I haven't been able to find anything. any suggestions?

There is ScorchCrafter https://github.com/osxmidi/ScorchCrafter/releases

It needs a quad processor.

I've managed to get some interesting sounds with it.

Awesome! Thanks for the link, I was searching for something exactly like this. I'll be giving it a spin over the weekend.

Please let us know how it goes.

There are some samples on the Rakarrak website that I thought sounded pretty decent. Unfortunately, several of the sound clip links don't work. (At least, for me.)

U-he have a nice range of plugins to build a signal chain,
or to add on to Scorchcrafter. Their Zebra2 synth includes
Zebrify effects plugin, and Z-rev during the install,
should run for the 13 minutes demo time, when the synth
chooses what note sounds, until re-loaded,
not sure how the separate effects plugins are treated
at that point...

U-he Presswerk compressor and Satin tape-era modulator
are popular, Filterscape (three plugins)offers all kinds of
filtering prowess, Protoverb can be a reverb randomizer,
MFM2 feedback-delay, well, check out the main youtube video,
the Uhbiks collection, and the new ColourCopy BB delay
(and colourizifier)

Linux demo links are now on the main site, with
ColourCopy at the
u-he linux reddit portal

In the olympics, every runner is considered
native to their own country, with one winner,
and others close behind. I think for musicians,
the participation and perhaps even some winning,
will be remembered/enjoyed
far more than the uniform and flags.
Cheers

Another route, and not very expensive, a used Fender Mustang I or II
usb guitar amp, the first version 1 models: there is a linux app
called 'plug', providing gui controls of all the amp controls,
presented as small modules for each different section
on the amp. Fender produced a nice app called Fuse, but soon
left it idle, just as the Mustang community was gaining momentum.
Go figure...

Used Mustang I V1 run $50-$60 in USA, youtube has lots of
videos, demoing the on-board amp models and effects etc.
Cheers

Hey thanks, this all looks really awesome. Their free synths have sent me into a bit of a synth rabbit hole right now!

Thanks for the recommendation! I found 'rkrlv2' which is an LV2 plugin port of Rakarrack, in the kxstudio repos. Can't seem to find a linuxvst version, so rakarrack is out for now. I really want the ease of loading the plugin directly in Reaper, without having to fuss with an LV2 wrapper.

https://packages.debian.org/unstable/mustang-plug

install plug using

sudo dpkg -i name-of.deb

The link list the dependencies, not likely
to be missing from a standard modern install.
Cheers
