Default Subprojects: tracking filename change?

Hey all,

I'm mixing a live-recorded project with multiple pieces. I decided to try the subproject approach to keep all the pieces organized in one place while working at each one individually.

So far it seems very nice, kudos to Reaper devs for this awesome feature!

However there is a drawback. I use to do versioning control for mixes and I increment the version in the filename from time to time. But this breaks the workflow with subprojects because as soon as I save the subproject with a different filename, it is no longer assigned with the "master" project.

So is there any workaround? Or maybe the devs would want to consider adding a feature to track subprojects that are saved with a different filename and update the master project? Might be implemented as a popup window with a choice to update the master project or not.

Thanks
