Default troubles with SWS versioning and linux reaper

It seems that SWS is not compiled for linux as quickly as it is for Mac/PC, and that the version check on startup uses the latest (Mac/PC) version to test whether to pop up a dialog alerting the user that a new version is available, correct?

If that's correct, is there any way to disable the pop-up?

Also: how can I tell what version of SWS I am currently running?

Also: the linux download of SWS doesn't have the version string in the file name, so is there any way (besides the file timestamp, which isn't always reliable) to tell when the linux version has been updated to the latest version, without downloading/installing and running the check-for-updates action?

Extensions > About SWS Extension. The current version is shown there as well as the options to disable the checks for new versions.

The latest Linux builds of SWS are at https://cfillion.ca/files/sws/2.10.0.1-linux/.

D'oh, sorry, the menu item got lost in the list and I didn't see it. If it could live next to "SWS Options" (or vice versa) that might be clever. And if the update options could be in the "SWS Options" that might be clever too. Anyway, thanks, sorry for the noise. :-) -c
