Simple theme
Update: There is only the Simple theme now. Nov 28 2017
https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/2062/S...ReaperThemeZip
Thanx to hopi for helping me out with some of the look&feel.
OK I've fooled with this enough to release it to the Reaper Community.
It's intended to be used for simple projects with a low track count.
I say that because the layout is pretty large.
I've built and somewhat tested it on a 1920x1080 monitor.
If you decide to download and test it, please let me know what you like/dislike.
I may/maynot change it ;-)

Thanx for pointing this out hopi.
I've managed to recreate this bug to a degree.
Maybe you can help me out by answering these questions, thanx.
What resolution are you running you monitor at?
Are you running Reaper at less than full screen?

sure
my main pc uses dual monitors, both Dell 30"
at 2560x1600
I do mostly run reaper at less than full screen but not by much
I don't think that 'bug' is caused by the screen size...
I have not dug into rtconfig code for a long time but my guess is that the meter and it's position in relation to the slots for fx is the main issue...

I love all the elements of this theme very much.
I hope you someday develop it further with some smaller high track options, etc.
Lovely!

Thanx for pointing this out hopi...I think I fixed it.
If you have a moment I would appreciate it if you could download it and run it again.
Thanx.

hi hw... yeah that fixed it for the MCP problem...
may I suggest one tweak? for the TCP the left edge of the meter starts quite a distance to the right of the pan knobs... true for both a single pan knob and dual...
just my opinion but think it would be better if the left edge of the meter began much closer to the pan knob....
Nice simple theme! great for some projects... thanks for doing this one %^)

yeah, like this theme
One thing, I would like to be able to drag the docked mixer right down to the bottom, essentially hiding it. I am not fond of the floating version.
If I knew how to make this happen I could do it myself

But of course...an oversight, I changed the volume knob to a slider and forgot to lengthen the meters.:-(
Fixed. Thanx for noticing. Updated the stash.

Sorry, RobertP I don't know how I can make this happen.
You can hide the mixer using View: Toggle mixer visable.

Not sure how to address this. Make your color choices darker maybe?

my current theme is beginning to suffer from Reaper updates I think, hence looking for a new one earlier than I need.
but strange..
I didn't look for the view route before admitting to a red face but I cant see 'View: Toggle mixer visable'. I guess that could be a symptom of the above. I can just drag the mixer down in my current theme - which seems not to be in the stash anymore.
I did discover CTRL+M while sifting through stuff. Didn't know that - :shame:  again ... ah well
thanks for the posts

Realized that with coloring on some things had to change.
Thanx hopi (took your tcp foldercomp idea, turned it upside down with a hack to match the look in the mcp).
Updated the stash.
With track panel coloring on

nice HW... looking good %^)
PS... maybe a niggle...
long story short: HW you know I did a bit of a mod for myself that involves the vol sliders for the tcp and mcp... and in so doing I had to very slightly change the one in the mcp so that the top and bottom horizontal lines would show up in the vol slider where I wanted.... OK so...
I think maybe this current version needs a very minor tweak for that mcp scale as well...
What I see is the top horizontal line, when at max volume, shows above the middle hollow box of the mcp vol slider...
Now I'm assuming it should show inside that hollow box [the dead center of the slider]...
Maybe I'm mistaken as to your intention for this... so it's not a big deal... just thought to mention it in case it matters to you.
Also... hey nice on the png for the mcp that shows when the track is not a folder... seems you found a way to make it work!

hopi...you might not recognize this theme now.
I've changed things as I've used it...for my own workflow.
Constant state of change for the time being.
The black creates contrast, and I'm using baby blue for selected tracks.
Changed the sliders etc...
Your comments are always welcome and appreciated.
Just changed the volbg...
Haven't put this in the stash...

Updated the stash with a new version meant to be colored.
Its called Simple-Coloring
I tried to match all the colors as much as possible.
It supports a single folder level that is indicated as best I could in both mcp and tcp.
Also I attempted to have the tcp icons line up.
One pic here and a couple more in the stash.

As this theme is intended to support 1 level of folder,
I've played with a new folder/children layout for the mixer.
This is how it looks with 'Tint track panel backgrounds' active.
Completely useless with it off of course :-)).
This deviates a little from the flat-ish style.
Any comments?
Thanx for your help and support hopi.

you are more than welcome... in reality, I thank you for the ongoing work
I'm not quite understanding what you did there in the mixer to have all the children panels not show that full color just like the Parent...
just curious how you did that

That is done by varying the mcp_bg and mcp_folderbg.
I'm also now using White Tie's imageshift/marginshift to
change the namebg when its recarmed.
Dropped this now, couldn't do the same in the tcp.
Oh yeah, the meters also take over when recarmed.
The new layout will be called Folders.
I updated the image above to the current build.

Updated
The latest including the Folders layout.
However, the best fix has been to provide a better tcp volume slider.
The previous version was a little hard to grab!

Latest update
I simplified to a single theme.
Cleaned up a bunch of stuff by working with the theme.
Now there is the basic layout and a global folder layout...slightly different.
The only fully colored tcp panels are the Selected Panel(s) and the folder panel.
Only folder panels are almost fully colored in the mcp except when selected.

I've created a large transport that's intended to be undocked.
It resizes from a BPM/Timesig display to a full transport.
Useful when tracking or playing drums a distance from the screen.
