Default Working exclusively with Musicxml files

I compose in Finale Notation software and export musicxml files to get a more precise
copy of what I have composed in Reaper.

So I am trying for the first time to import the musicxml file and a red circle with a line in it comes up when I try to drag and drop it into Reaper.

That never happened before. So I opened the file and it just reads offline. My ambitious project is dead on arrival !

Heck anyone here able to help me ?
yours truly,
John Patrick Jewell III

Default The Answer is compressed or uncompressed xml

So unbeknownst to me before this date, I had a problem with a compressed musicxml file ( which is MusicXML uses a zip-based XML format similar to that used by Open Office and many other XML formats. ) that would not open in Reaper. However I read the settings for exporting musicxml files in Finale and discovered that I could manually choose between compressed and uncompressed. I tried uncompressed and got the file to load into Reaper.
Thank YOU Jesus !
