Info about batch convertor please
Can anybody give me a quick heads up on how this new batch convertor feature is accessed and works? I don't seem able to find it and suspect it's something that should be documented.
Thanks!

Found it!
Tee hee I was looking in the wrong place. Even as I speak I've found it, on the View menu!
All is now clear.

Moving it to the file menu, I think that's more logical...

Problem with custom menus
There's an issue here ... if you have customized your File menu, the new command doesn't appear.
Would it be better if by default new commands did appear or not?

I think it would be better if they did. It'd be too easy to miss them altogether otherwise.

I haven't "customized" my menus except for creating shortcuts / key commands. So I don't fall into this category. I can see the converter in the actions menu, but it doesn't show up in the file menu.
But yeah, better to have it there in your face and know that you have the option to hide it somewhere else.

I vote no on this one. My menu commands are set up they way I want them. Having to go in and edit out new commands that magically appear in there by default isn't the best investment in time, in my opinion. This will also break macro scripts that are based on menu structure location. We currently have two sources to get changes in Reaper. The changelog(help > changelog) communicates to the user all the new changes, including new commands and actions, after each update. One can also get this info by having "include default menu as submenu" checked.

OK easy solution to cover both here
First run "Do you want new menu items added" question box
Done

But wouldn't it have to be "Do you want new menu items added to your custom menus"?, which could easily confuse new Users, who might not have any.
Or am I over-thinking this?<g>

Nice solution NAS/SusanG
and if you don't have any customized menu Reaper doesnt ask, simple.

I thought about that, but I wasn't sure if the REAPER installer would know. If it can detect that, that's the best solution, IMO.

That will happen when starting Reaper after installation, first start. Maybe Reaper can do that, not sure.
