This might be more of a "Reaper question' than a "Smooth question" but here's what's happening: I keep the mixer docked in the bottom docker. I want to make the Mixer like 2/3rds of the vertical space of the monitor. When I do that with Smooth, I end up with a huge, long list of insert and send slots, but what I want to have happen is for the main MCP channel to get taller with only a few sends and maybe 4-6 insert slots max. Now, I can click and drag to reduce the number of send slots, but that just makes more inserts visible, not the fader/meter taller which is what I want.
So after the long build-up, my question is this: is there a way to force it so the fader/meter section takes "vertical priority" over the inserts/sends? Like, I'm literally looking at 12 insert slots and 3 send slots at the moment. I NEVER need to see 15 slots at once and would much prefer that a large chunk of that vertical space were used for the fader/meter section.

I like this and was about to suggest the same thing. I think having the text on mono adds a little clarity to both mono (directly) and the stereo (indirectly).

I would rather this happened also, it's a Default 6.0 thing - might be worth asking White Tie in the 6.0 thread?

This theme is absolutely amazing and makes Reaper far more appealing aesthetically to me. It makes me really want to dive in and use Reaper, because it looks so good on the eye. I’ve used it a bit in the past but have always deferred back to Logic or Cubase as I think they look better...maybe not any more...!
Great work and thank you!

Hi Bose,
Did you solve the Playrate control problem in time for the 1.8 release?

First off, this theme is amazing! The 1080p Release is the only thing keeping me from updating to 6.
Have you thought about the other mono button modes as well? Like L-R for Side, L/R solo etc?

Thanks b0se. Sorry for all the questions, just one more. I don't run at 150%, I run at 130%. Preferences -> Advanced UI tweaks -> Scale UI elements: 1.3x
Does this mean I should scale to 130% into a folder called 130?
I'm just not clear whether Reaper does any auto scaling at all, or if icons are needed for any specific zoom level?
Thanks again.

Was trying to drag the fader yesterday and it wasn't getting taller. Probably not using Ctrl. Will try again. Thanks!
EDIT
That did it. Thanks again. I realized I was trying to click and drag at the edge of the colorful spot of the fader (not above the FX button). Got it sorted now.

Ahh OK, so some auto scaling does occur. OK thanks very much, I will try scaling all to 150 and see how I go.
If it works OK I'll let you know.

One thing to note, you can't batch scale the images as the pink/yellow guide lines must remain 1px in width.

b0se, I'm not sure if you ever use "Dual Pan" mode in the mcp or tcp, but that may be something you want to take a look at in terms of the theme if you haven't already. The contrast seems a little low. Just right click a pan knob to open the options and select Dual Pan from the list.
Apologies in advance for trying to take advantage of your perfectionist tendencies!
EDIT
I think just a more defined vertical line to define the L/R bounds would probably do it. That may be what I'm responding to in terms of it being low contrast: it's hard to see where it begins and ends.

Theme's getting better and better. I don't have a HiDPI display, so I'll just wait here for the standard resolution version.

Question:
I have a 3 monitor setup. One 27” 1440p in the centre (but low as possible - like just peaking over the cutout in my desk) for my TCP. The second monitor is a 24” 1080p built flat into my desk for my MCP. The third is another 24” 1080p for meters and some floating plugin gui’s. As none of these monitors are HiDPI I’ve been waiting for the 1080p version of this theme, but . . .
I have been thinking about upgrading my central TCP monitor to a 31” 4K / HiDPI. If I do this, and thus use the current HiDPI version of this theme, will I still be able to display the MCP on the 24” 1080p monitor that’s built flat into my desk? Is there a way to combine two monitors, one HiDPI and one 1080p, when using this theme?

Hmm, I agree. When I designed the dual pan the sliders were hard L/R, when they've moved it is a bit unclear.
I'll try adding end point, or a more defined top line.
Cheers, I think

Yes, once the 1080p version is done it'll work across all monitors.

Nowhere does it say 1080p is out, rather that conversion (HiDPI to 1080p) has just started.
Appreciate it could be worded better for non-native English speakers, I'll edit the post to make it clear.

This theme looks amazing!!
Congrats bOse, it seems is going to make Reaper the most eye catching DAW out there.
I tried some other themes but always find myself going back to default Reaper theme, I feel like this one is going to change this.
Can't wait to install once the 1080p is ready.
Thank you for your effort.

I just got a 4k display for this theme, couldn't wait any longer ;-)
Had two tracking sessions over the weekend - great theme to stare at for hours at a time!
BTW, I mirror my screen to a HD display next to my drums and (at least in macOS) the scaling looks perfect.
Wasn't there talk of a v1.8 and a dark version?
Anyhoo, thanks again for this gorgeous theme!

Yeah mirroring uses a full screen scale, that'll always look good in standard HD. Glad you enjoyed it, and 4K screens are the way to go, good purchase! :¬)
1.8 will be out tonight, I ended up tweaking a few things and getting distracted by Affinity Designer and finding (well, trying to find) the most efficient way to downscale images for 1080p.

This is going to take quite a while to properly rescale everything guys, I'm trying to help bose when I have spare time. It's days of work I think, although I'm probably a lot slower at doing it!

I've got Affinity and can help scale the images too if there's a clear procedure as to how to do it without messing up the pink lines. If you want help, feel free to PM me.

Indeed, it won't be a quick process, some fiddly bits to work around.
