Default Stretch markers for MIDI?

I'm looking to take a project with MIDI drums recorded free time, and put it to a constant tempo...without making everything hard quantized.

I've tempo mapped, and adjusted the tempo map to be constant, and am now going through the process of changing the tempo of each bar of midi to get it better lined up with the new grid.

Funny thing is that Stretch markers would be perfect for this...but you can't insert them on Midi items. Ideally, just drop stretch markers on either side of the Midi you want to warp the tempo of, and voila!

Anyone know why this is? It doesn't seem like too difficult a thing to implement. There's no pitch shifting to do...just adjusting the timing of midi notes.
