Hey.
I like it. I can't comment on the change of amps, I don't know them and their sound...
Perhaps a bit more bottom would drive the song a bit.
Also, I loaded it into Reaper and had a look at the mid vs side, and, as I suspected not much is going on in the sides. This makes for a rather flat, mono-like songs.
Just for fun, i duplicated the track, loaded Voxengo's Stereo free VSt and dialed in the Vocal setting(it's the less drastic) and bingo some neat sounds popped up in the sides. I muted the mid and blended those sides with the main track.
Then, for fun again, i duplicated the track, low passed all but the bottom, compressed, and blended that back with the main track.
I dialed in a bit of delay and blended that in the mix.
Added, Ferrox vst (some classic tape emulation) and glued the mix with a compressor limiter.
This is what I got - i hope you don't mind? It was just for demonstration purposes:

Had i had the track i would of added more bass and more kick, a bit more vocal, and added some stereo effects in some places. But, it was fun to pseudo-master the song (not that i really know what i'm doing...)
hehehe
