Automation Rec recovery speed not honoured via MIDI controller??

So i've set a midi knob on a Maschine and tried other devices as controllers to record automation. It seems it will wait for a 1~2 seconds intervals before the touch automation record will stop recording (after I stop moving the midi encoder) and revert to the previous values.

Anyone had this issue as well? not sure if it has to do with my setup or something.
