Kontakt 5 third party libraries integration
Quick question for you Kontakt gurus (ED?): how do I easily integrate my 3rd party VST plugins with the Kontakt interface?
I would like to be able to load them from the fancy Kontakt interface (see picture below), rather than having to manually search where I downloaded and installed the instruments and multis, and then manually load them, every time I want to use them.
Thanks!

Only officially licensed libraries made for Kontakt Player can be accessed from that Libraries window.
However, if you set up your QuickLoad (Ctrl-F, or just right click on the empty space in the instrument rack), you can categorize all your sounds accordingly.
This takes a bit of prep time, because you'll have to find all your libraries with the file explorer and categorize them manually. But you'll only have to do this once, and you can just add more libraries/patches as you acquire them. This way, you can easily pick sounds by using the little arrow icon next to the instrument name in the rack.

The specific library in your screenshot (Arpology) is a licensed library and should be accessible in libraries tab though.
I would check with the developer...maybe there is a problem with your installation.

Since Stella645 mentioned that Arpology should be a licensed library, try this:
Open Kontakt Standalone and go to File > Options > Libraries to check if the library entry is shown there and if the little box next to the library name is checked.
Otherwise go to File > Options > Database and try to add the path to the library folder via the [Add] button. Then click on the [Update] button afterwards and let the rescan finish.

Thanks for the feedback.
I followed your suggestions, however without much success.
In the meantime, I just figured out I have several more NI products that aren't installed. I'll get to those first, and then come back later.

click "manage libraries" - you will eventually end up with Native Access and that is where you install the library. Actually the library is installed, but you just need to give the path within Native Access (I think, from memory)

Thanks ... yeah, I'm getting closer. I just installed a lot of NI instruments I forgot about, got to sort it out in the morning.

Hi Peter.
Anytime you want to had an instrument to the Kontakt interface :
First find your folder as in the Gif (maybe different location)
Then, just had a sub-folder to your Kontakt Factory Library/Instrument folder. I had a personal one to make it cleaner to my taste. Name your new folder, put inside everything you download. That's it
Then find your personal folder in the instruments
Then enjoy.
Bye

I know you said the easy way but if you want your own tabs. You could do this.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pspm9Yxdms
I do this for all my own recorded samples and even made my own awesome wallpaper using GIMP.
You can make your library look clean because you get to choose your own image/text. Plus it loads up really quick.

Taking it one step at a time, seems like I have an incomplete download of Arpology.
So I'll start there, re-downloading everything, and then take it from there.

Peter... what does that mean?
I ask because you don't integrate any VST plugins with the kontakt interface
you can maybe integrate third party kontakt libraries but not VST plugins
Can you say more clearly what you want to do?

Peter means his Kontakt files that arent actual licenced libraries, rather than actual VST plugs. Watching this thread with huge interest as I have a mountain of unauthorised TP library-ettes that I use regularl & hate wading through folders on my E:\samples\NativeInstruments\KontaktTP\

Yeah, 90% of my Kontakt instruments are either my own or 3rd party. I've got my Libraries organized well enough it's not too difficult, and I use the Quick Load some too.
What scares me, one of these days I'm going to want to put my libraries on another drive, that will be a nightmare. Hopefully it will be when I'm done with all my old projects, but for me that almost never happens.

It certainly can be (don't ask me how I know this.)
When the time comes, I strongly recommend cloning your current library drive to whatever larger, faster drive you find you require and then just swapping that in for the old one while keeping the same drive letter and directory structure.
Alternatively, just add the new larger, faster drive then copy everything from your current library drive to it (thereby maintaining the exact same directory structure) and then just swap the old drive letter to the new drive.

That's a great idea, but my sample drive is the one that I also have all my projects on. My thoughts are that I'd like to put all my sample libraries on a new SSD dirive and if I put all on my projects on it too, it's would be about 1.6TB. Right now my sample libraries are a little over 500GB. It's a good thought though, I could be a little selective. Kind of depends on how the prices go for the SSDs.

In this case I'd still recommend moving your libraries to the new SSD while maintaining their current directory structure and then giving the new SSD the old drive letter, after first assigning a new letter to the old drive where your projects remain.
In my experience, Reaper is much better at adapting to moved projects than Kontakt is to moved libraries.
My apologies to the OP for this OT discussion.

Yeah, my apologies too, but it's kind of related and your suggestion is very good.

don't know if that is pricey for your budget... but I can highly suggest them
I believe there is also a 4TB out now for about 1500
I'd love to have a case full of them %^)

I know what you're saying, get a 2TB SSD and transfer the important stuff, then I'd be all set. That's not entirely out of the question, but with my other plans, it could be difficult.
Incidentally, I haven't heard a thing from out friend.
