Very cool!! Stupid question from an old analogue guy though. What is the best way to download the Vs2 files in order to get them into Reaper? In other words how should I direct the download? So sorry to ask, but I'm new to using DAW's.

easy .download the zip file unzip to desktop.unzip to desktop or wherever .then open reaper add reaverb top a track.open reaverb.in the window you will see "add"click on it then you have some options,,click on "file" and then choose an impulse from your files on desktop.place reaverb in front of the fx chain it will then reverberate whatever you want to reverberate.finished

On a side note... Although Reapers capabilities far surpass that of the 2480, I have to say that the 2480 is still a super machine for ninety percent of current needs. I've recorded some great stuff through it and love most of the workflow. To me it's quicker to operate than a DAW, and is way more stable... I'll probably never sell mine even though I'm beginning to move away from it.

Side note:
When I created those reverb IR files,
I used the VS2480's factory presets as the
starting point.

Those files are set up to
use "as is", but if you want
to get creative and to take them to the
next level, be sure to try the
stretch feature (and other tools)
found in ReaVerb.

You can use that to manipulate any
of those IR files into really cool
reverb sounds (custom tailored
to fit your song/production).

ReaVerb is a powerful tool
in REAPER. It can take any of those
VS2480 reverb IR files that I created and
do some pretty impressive things with them.

Have fun and experiment.
You should be able to get all kinds
of custom tailored reverb sounds using
those VS2480 IR files
and the tools found in ReaVerb.

Enjoy and happy recording.

I think the VS2480 is excellent.
I use mine with REAPER when I
want to get the VS2480 "signature"
sounds and processing
(reverb, mastering, etc).

REAPER is the only DAW that I use.
REAPER is the best DAW on the planet
(my personal opinion).
I use REAPER and it's plugins for
of my productions.

I agree that the VS2480 is a great tool.

I use the VS2480 with REAPER when I want
access to it's features, effects, and
certain "signature" processing sounds
that only the VS2480 can provide
(it's own signature sonic foot print).

I like the way it's effects
(reverb, mastering tools, and other stuff)
help to shape and color my sonic canvas
in REAPER (when I'm looking for "that" sound).

The VS2480 is like having additional
specialized paints and brushes in my
tool box while working in REAPER.
