Date Track Created?
Is there a way to show the date/time a track was created and/or modified?

If I'm not mistaken, Reaper defaults to adding the date and time onto the filename whenever a file is recorded to a track.
So if you set Preferences to display Item filenames, the date and time of file creation will be shown on each item, unless you do things like 'add file to item as new take'.

that is correct but the posting said "Track" so I think he or she wants time for individual tracks.

That is correct sir. I usually create multiple tracks of the same riff or lead and it would be great to see the date/time of each one.
Thanks,
Dale

Sorry, I misunderstood. No easy way to do this that I know of besides getting into the habit of appending date to new track names.

have you tried using the take feature in Reaper? It is not by time but each one is marked with an incremental number (1, 2, 3,...)

Sort of. Under Prefs->Appearance->Media enable the option Display media item take name and (if you wish) Draw labels above item and Show labels for items when item edges are not visible.
You should then see in arrange view at the end of each item take name a sequence of figures which show date and time, eg 180319_1233 represents 12:33 on 19th March 2018.
But this probably won't give you everything you want.

Will this give a unique number for each take.

It gives the date/time stamp individually for each take as the actual time it was recorded. Combined with track number and track name this should be a unique name.
Try it and see if it gives you what tou want.

@sickamorf
this kind of small scripts is a way to thank genereous people who want to thanks me for my other 350 free scripts or my other free open source works.
But it would be easy to reverse engineered if needed... I have made free reascript tutorials for that !
I even provide code snippets as open source, which could be use by people interested in taking times to learn scripting.
@PhilboKing
Indeed, I dont have the church behind me to sponsor my work :P ReaScript donation is quite a smaller thing, it has less fidels :P
That didnt prevent me and other scripters to still release free scripts or free scripts updates or free support on a day to day basis.
Im the first to regret to not be able to share everything for free though.

A little off-subject but ...
In the SWS Label Processor, is there a Wildcard for date and / or time of day?

@ReaperMadness
Nope, but it could be scripted as well ^^
The complex thing with date is that there is a lot of possible format possible, not everyone use the same.

X-Raym -
I totally understand. As a musician, I don't work for free either. It's ridiculous to assume anyone would or should. May your excellent work bring you excellent rewards.
