Default Mackie Protocol - how do I see the currenlty active 8 tracks

Hi,

Completly new user here. I just installed Reaper yesterday afternoon.

I want to controll it with my Behringer X-Touch Compact - an 8 fader generic midi controler that supports Mackie Protocol. So I set my console in Mackie Mode, went in Reaper/Options/Preferences/
Control/OSC/web Add Mackie Control Universal and set MIDI In-Out to X-Touch Compact.

It works like a dream, except that it does not show me where I am. Which tracks are being controlled.
If I use this console in another DAW, Cubase, Sonar or ProTools, I see an green or blue rectangle around the names of the tracks that are currenlty being controlled. So for a project of 16 tracks, the tracks 1-8 would be marked, then when I move to the right one track, 2-9 would be marked a.s.o.

How can I see in Reaper which tracks are active?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think that feature exists in Reaper at present.

Yeah, indication of control surface controlled tracks in sadly missing in Reaper.
However, when using Mackie control protocol you can use the virtual MCU display included in BC Manager which displays the currently controlled track names.
