Something I'm working on for S1 but will probably make a Reaper version for myself. The idea is that using the transparency and locking it down when you edit makes it much more handy and much less invasive.

The commands are all being posted via Win API, editing, naming clips, whatever is available to key binding.

It's actually working well for S1 so far. I have to think through the Reaper implementation a bit more since the edit functions I'm using are based on area selection and also, Reaper has so many actions that don't have any default key commands I have to choose which ones to include and how to bind them.

On the plus side, Reaper's multiple classes are easy to spy on so I can reach it's various sections where with S1 I can't spy beneath the main window classes, if there are even classes besides those in a window, it appears not to be.

I'm looking at it.

I like that.
I do it in a more barbaric way by having black backgrounds and black toolbars with no visible edges.
But the toolbars don't seem to scale down even when checking the 1:1 settings.
I can however uncheck the setting that allows larger than 1:1 for toolbars and they get bigger, but fuzzier too.
Great idea and thanks for sharing.

Some of the better VB coders around here could probably do a much better job but I'll eventually port whatever I end up with over to Reaper.

I'm kind of outlining / classing some generic commands that can maybe fit most daws, to make the thing more useful. I'm about to just copy/paste/dump the entire S1 key command list into a routine but that wouldn't work for Reaper. Too many actions.
