Default accidentally changing playback rate

Hi Pros

I'm a lighting designer who uses reaper to put markers into tracks to export them to my lighting desk.

I have a problem with changing playback rates accidentally.

I don't know how this happens but sometimes i find a track having a playback rate of 0.9 something instead of 1 after i put some markers in. i mainly use zooming and scrolling clicking with a touchpad on my macbookpro and (shiftM) to set markers, name them and hit return.

Either i found a bug or there is a possibility to change the playbackrate with 2 fingers on the trackpad or a shortcut close to shiftM that i don't know.

Does that ring a bell to someone? could someone help me? is there a preference where i can switch off the possibility to change the rate?

Thanks a lot for your help

Best

Christoph

shift + 5?

If you are inadvertently triggering an action, go into the action menu (?) and you can filter or sort by shortcut and weed out anything you don't want or would like to change etc.

If you right click on the Transport Bar there's an option to hide the Playrate control. Does that help?.
