Very nice! Like the transport a lot! I'm not quite on board with the centered track controls and flashing cursor yet, but maybe they will grow on me.

ITS ONE OF THE BEST LOVE YOU

but... (v15)
i have a litte suggestions:
- i work in black/white mode (as many producers), its not so much distracting

1) could you add in screenset/layout -> black/white all envelopes mode (or contrasting colors)
2) monitor button -> i cant see any diffrence in b/w

thanks, its awesome!!

I really love this theme and as such I've made it my default theme. I have to say a very big thank you to you for making such an excellent theme. Midi clips draw properly with great background color that don't cover up the midi data itself. The waveform drawing is perfect. I do a lot of track freezing and this is the first theme with which I feel at home when I freeze a track because the waveform is displayed properly.

However, I have a request or two.

1. Please change the pan sliders to circular pan knobs. If possible make a different layout for it so those who like this one can still have access to it. Also after including pan knobs please make different layouts for mono pan and stereo pan.

2. Please include a button for "input FX" when tracks are armed for recording. I love how this is currently handled for now but please just add this little button.

I hope this wouldn't be too much of a hassle to implement. Once again, thanks a lot for the theme... 👍👍

Loved the theme, but any chances do make the transport smaller? My monitor is small. Also, the playback rate could be smaller, like a Knob or something, much appreciated!!

I just downloaded a bunch of themes, and yours are the one I like best.

However I cannot find the "ARM/UNARM" track button!

Ok the track "ARM/UNARM" button seems visible on all track panel layouts, EXCEPT "Global Default"!

So for your information, some who just installs this and do not play around with different track panel layouts, may have some issue.

Is there a reason why it is missing?

Nope the "ARM/UNARM" button is missing from several of the layouts!

There is no common rule what elements any given layout should have in there, they are themeing decisions. In ReAerah the record arm button is missing from the track panel layouts 4 (VCA), 6 (Minimal), 8 (Mix) and Separator. It's a personal preference if somebody would want a rec arm button in any of those layouts. However, anybody just trying out the theme the first time shouldn't have an issue with the missing rec arm button, it is right there in the default layout.

As Reaper auto-arms new tracks by default, I personally think an "ARM/UNARM" button is mandatory, on all layouts.

I can't even find a way to unarm a new track if there is not an "ARM/UNARM" button.

While there are no general rules to what any given track layout should have, there are some pretty common expectations. For example separators are usually not expected to have any controls at all, they are there just to separate tracks visually. Some users may want the track number there, some even the track name, but that's about it.

If your requirements for a given layout differ from these expectations and the intentions of the theme maker, you may ask for a change, but depending on case you might have to either modify the layouts yourself or ask if somebody could do that for you.

There are these actions:
Track: Unarm all tracks for recording
Xenakios/SWS: Set selected tracks record unarmed

Thanks man, I found "Track: Unarm all track for recording" in Action list, and added to Track menu and a keyboard short-cut!

I don't see this behavior.
Is this a setting you changed to make it do this?

Correct, just inserting a new track won't do it. Based on other topic in General forum by DKDiveDude, I think what he actually meant here is that the action to insert a virtual instrument on a new track will automatically record arm the given track...

Ahh.. yes, inserting a virtual instrument does this.
Never noticed that before.
My recording needs are fairly modest, so I've easily learned more about Reaper by theming than by actual use.

I really love this theme. I really appreciate all of the work you put into making such a gorgeous interface. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the meter colors, so I'm glad you provided the .png files to change them.

I'm running into an issue that is probably due to my newness to theming. I'm getting some unexpected results when I replace those files. When I say unexpected, I mean the whole theme color changes from dark grays to white to 20% gray. The only thing I've replaced are those two meter files. Maybe there's something else I'm supposed to do, so here's what I did:

1. Unzipped the ReAerah.ReaperThemeZip file
2. Made a copy of the meter files that were originally there in case I wanted to replace them
3. Copied the old meters with the colors I prefer, overwriting the two that are included with the theme
4. Zipped the folder back up and changed the extension to .ReaperThemeZip
5. Opened it
6. Went into a mild shock because I was suddenly staring at a mostly white theme

Is there something special I'm supposed to do other than overwrite those two meter files and zip it back up? I tried using the built in "Compress" feature in OS X, and I also used Keka to make the zip. That shouldn't really matter, should it? I don't see how that could make it all go white on me.

Thanks again for the amazing theme! Any help is greatly appreciated.

You must not zip the folder which holds the ReaperTheme file and the pictures folder.
Instead, do this:

Select both ReaperTheme file and pictures folder.
Compress these 2 selected into a zip file.
Change the .zip extension of this compressed file to .ReaperThemeZip.

Thank you, vanhaze! I knew it was something simple like that. I just couldn't find the right search string to get me the answer. Much appreciated! I figured out the extension part. In fact, FYI, that's not even necessary. If you just Cmd+i and change the file association to REAPER, you can just double click it. Easiest way I found was to Cmd+Opt+Drag a regular zip to REAPER in the Dock, you don't even have to change the extension. You don't get the REAPER-shirt-on-a-hanger icon, but I got the same results. The theme wasn't right, but REAPER does the same thing with the file in all three cases. I was just trying everything I could think of trying.

I was pretty sure I was including the same stuff that came out of the archive when I unpacked it, but I guess not. Thanks again for the lesson.

How to get rid of this when I do "Synchronize Packages"?
