Default MIDI: undo while playback problems (1.38)

i get pretty nasty dropouts/interruption when undo created notes in the midi-editor while playback: this shouldn't happen, as it's just plain midi-data! this has to be 100% glitch-free and smooth!

thanks ;-)

also happens with audio-items (moving -> undo while playback)

also muting and soloing tracks while playback is not smooth and fast. even when "do not process muted tracks" is disabled (so reaper doesn't have to deactivate/activate the plugins when muting/unmuting) you get a short interruption

this should be smooth as silk (at least on low loaded projects)!

even just changing the volume of a track (via mouse) causes to drop out sometimes (red meter flashes up). seems this isn't an easy task for reaper.

btw: all these problems @ 1024 samples buffer on medium loaded project (~35% cpu usage, using no plugins with additonal latency) ...

mmh, hard to notice any improvement in 1.39. can't really say if it's got a bit better. still lags way too much.

and i have "avoid restoring vst state on undo/redo" disabled (because i hate it when reaper does this)!

seems "undo" really has some problems. reaper just didn't react anymore while trying to undo some moved (and fade edited) audio-items ...

Dstruct reported several things that caused crackling. Are *all* of them still bugging?
