Solution: Disable Preferences > Media Item Defaults > Loop source for new MIDI items

Create a custom Action:

New Action

Action Name: Infinite Loop

Drag over: (1) Item properties: Loop item source, (2) Item: Set item ends to start of next item

Assign Shortcut Cmd+Shift+L for Mac or Ctrl+Shift+L for PC

This is saving me much time and effort, much closer to Logic behavior I am used to.

ReaSamplomatic does not have such a "toggle" mode for the notes. But you might be able to find some MIDI plugin that does that, that you could put before ReaSamplomatic.

If you want it done entirely in the sampler plugin, you might want to try the free version of Tx16wx, it has such a toggle mode for the notes :

https://www.tx16wx.com/

It has other features too that are not available in ReaSamplomatic.

One could probably make a JS plug that would eat the first Note Off and instead send it when it sees the next Note On. Like a MIDI note latcher plugin that would go before the sampler. I'm probably not the right person to do it, but if you make a polite request in the appropriate forum...

thank you , this would be a nice function to be implemented in reasamplomatic to trigger drum loops and other things?
