Default selected track number brackets [ ]

I'm using Cubic13's Abbey Roads theme and I'd like to remove the brackets [ ] surrounding the number on the selected track mcp/tcp. The old classic 4 is only other theme Ive seen that has these brackets. Any help would be appreciated.

Check your PMs again, as I made a correction in it... Just in case, here is what I posted few hours ago :

If you have already done what I was suggesting at first, undo everything (eventually, and if not possible, download again the theme).

The actual files which are missing are the following ones :

- tcp_idxbg.png
- tcp_idxbg_sel.png
- mcp_idxbg.png
- mcp_idxbg_sel.png

As I stated in my first attempt, make these as 2 x 2 pixels with a full transparent background without anything added. Save them in the AbbeyRoad folder where all the graphic files are seated and rezip the theme with a .ReaperThemeZip extension.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Let me know how things are going...

Thanks again, but no go. The brackets still remain.

It's working as expected, here. Be sure that the 4 files I was listing in my previous post are in the \AbbeyRoad subfolder and that they all have a full transparent background, this to override the Reaper default behavior.

FWIW, the files needed are in the attachment files.

Thanks, but I still have brackets. Actually there were only two previous files I added/replaced.

Let's start from the beginning : as I tried to suggest in my last corrected PM, the files you are talking about are NOT involved. So...

1) Download again the AbbeyRoad theme (important, to avoid the misbehaving changes stated in my first PM...).
2) Unzip it in a safe place. You should have 2 objects : an AbbeyRoad.ReaperTheme file and an AbbeyRoad folder. In the latter, add in it the four files which were in my previous post attachments.
3) Rezip both The AbbeyRoad.ReaperTheme file and AbbeyRoad folder together, change the resulting archive extension to .ReaperThemeZip and copy it in the \ColorThemes subfolder of your Reaper installation.

That should do it, reloading the edited theme...

Please, try again what was in my previous post. It's obvious that it's working as expected, here...

Thanks so much for your help. But adding the 4 idxbg png files has no effect for me. I have no problem unzipping the theme adding png files and rezipping as I've already made several arrangement and color changes. I have also dropped them into a fresh copy and still no effect. Again thanks for your help.

Ah Ha, I see... These files need and underscore after mcp/tcp and not a dot. Got it.

It's my fault : why on earth have I put dot instead of underscore in the files names that I listed in post #2 ? A mystery... I have just edited it. Sorry, and hope that you have it solved, this time...
