Default Problem with PDC (Monitor FX)

Hi,
There is a one problem I noticed yesterday.
I use linear-phase EQ on "Monitoring FX" channel to slightly fix my right monitor speaker (yeah, it is a problem, because linear-phase EQ does delay, and probably there are other plugins with same delay).
So, description:
1) linear-phase eq on Monitoring FX channel
2) MIDI file played with any synth is quantized properly
3) Metronome is on
Result: Metronome is clicking before MIDI w/synth start to play.
Without monitoring fx - everything is ok.

Question: How to fix "Monitoring FX" PDC as to play syncronized to metronome?
I know, "Monitoring FX" has the same concept like "Master", but it is for listening/correcting/monitoring after "Master" and not for rendering (fx not to be applied to final audio). But "Master" is PDC-fixed, "Monitoring FX" is not.

P.S. Found one thread that it is fixed in 5.21 (or smth like that), but still have it with the latest REAPER version.

Used: REAPER 5.79 x64

Hmm, I'd suggest not using FX that require PDC on your monitoring output.

best practice.

but the metronome does route through the Monitor FX, if I remember correctly. So Marik could put a delay plugin on the channel that the metronome outputs to.

Linear phase is not apropriate for room correction. Try measuring you room with an appropriate mic, using REW acoustics and find the correct filter and eq for your listening position. There is a nice tutorial on youtube for that.

I think you can configure it to route through the monitor FX, but then you start running into record latency and compensation issues.

Also -- linear phase for monitoring might not be ideal, as linear phase can have pre-echo...

Linear phase...It is free phase: linear phase is used for mids/highs correction. Minimum phase for lows. So, internally is linear-phase, because it is used in conjuction with minimum phase. It is good to solve some issues between L and R channel.
No pre-echo. I don't use very long IR lengths and very high Q.
My EQ does the right job to solve this. Because I don't want to here left to be right and viceversa. That's why I use free phase. My right speaker doesn't play proper, I have mono sounds playing a bit left, so I use subtle adjustments. Should compare with IIR/minimum phase without delay, but don't know about phase problems there.
