Default Looking for this effect

Does Reaper have an effect similar to that of an old, small radio or record player? The type with only a small band of mid and treble with some crackling or anyone know where I might find such a thing? I'm only new to DAW's

Thanks

for starters you might try Reapers own ReaEQ... Remove all but one band, select Type 'band' (arrow) Then just experiment by moving the top slider (frequency) and the lower (bandwidth)

Wouldn't it be better to use bandpass?

You can also experiment with loading impulses into reaverb, those classics for example:

There's a bunch of radios/small speaker impulses, also impulses captured from things like vacuum cleaner tubes or old Mercedes van if you feel very avantgarde today.

Mere 395 euros. Paying premium for making your stuff sound bad feels kinda counter-intuitive. You could buy a whole pallet of Chinese radios for that.

Those Fokkie ir files look great.
I've seen those links floating around since the dawn of DAWs

Could someone please upload wav versions, unstuffed/unpacked, if they have them?

For a long time, I've been meaning to go through the long, arduous process of getting those ir files unpacked and usable... From what I've read, you have to practically hack/crack them to get them out.

Does anyone have them?
Particularly the lexicons, spring verbs, the space echo, and the EMT

Weren't they available as wavs since forever? I see there's a complete wav package still available on someone's dropbox

Absolute Champion.

Last time I looked, it wasn't easy to get them as unpacked wav.

That sit program was the only way to get them, and installing that app was a nightmare on Windows.
Then the Altiverb file format to deal with...

Alas, that Dropbox has been sitting there for 6 years.
My google-fu really sucks

Thanks for uploading.
